Sparrowhawk Attack

Birds regularly crash into our windows at home - one of the hazards of having feeders in the garden I guess. Collared Doves are the worst culprits but they rarely suffer, merely leaving an imprint of their visit on the glass. This time it was a Greenfinch and when we checked to see if it was OK this Sparrowhawk was sitting on it. The hawk proceeded to carry the finch to the birch tree and pluck it when these shots were possible, unfortunately through glass and a few birch leaves.
