Blue-tailed Damselflies

The last in a hectic series of wildlife trips this weekend was a joint Watch/Explorers mini-beasts event at Stibbington GP. The highlight for the young pond-dippers was a Water Scorpion (Nepa cinerea) but there were also some moths on the wing to keep me happy including a Silver-ground Carpet (Xanthorhoe montanata), several Small China-marks (Cataclysta lemnata) and a Straw Dot (Rivula sericealis).
