There are plenty more migrant insects coming in at the moment. In addition to the 4 Diamond-back moths in last night's moth trap and at least 10 Silver Ys nectaring at bramble and Red Valerian at dusk this Hummingbird Hawk-moth was using the valerian in the afternoon.

There seem to be a lot of hummingbird hawkmoths around at the moment. I was surprised to see one in South Cumbria in mid-June. I've only ever seen them in late summer before, most frequently in Cornwall.
Super cool pictures. I just saw a hummingbird hawkmoth at my butterfly bushes the other day.
