Juvenile Green Woodpecker

This juvenile was feeding along the path at Ferry Meadows this morning. Despite the very dull conditions managed to get a shot.

Hi there Brian :-)

Great shot! I would love to have seen that. I hadn't realised that woodpeckers could be seen on grass until recently after seeing them on other blogs :-D

Have a good week :-D

Thanks for the pic. I have had two visiting my garden the last couple of days and was sure they were woodpeckers but they are very juvenile and mostly brown and couldn't identify them.
