Yellow-legged Gull, Maxey

No American Golden Plover or Richard's Pipits now but still a few interesting birds dropping into the Etton Road pits.

Yellow-legged Gull Larus michahellis

Brian,Have admired your digiscoped images and wish to know what adapter setup do you use with your canon A640 and Leica Apo. I have the Leica and am considering the A640 to replace my ageing A70

I use a roll of insulating tape the same internal dimensions as the middle lens unit of the A640. I take off enough tape to fit into the eyepiece of the scope. This centres the camera, steadies it and keeps it the right distance from the eyepiece lens.

Simple but obviously effective. When you say "fit into eyepiece of the scope" I assume you pop up the eyepiece outer cup so it rests inside that ? How do you focus and avoid glare on the LCD. Hope you don't mind all these questions.

Fits inside the raised eyepiece cup. I focus the scope by eye then fit the camera and use its autofocus. LCD glare hasn't caused me any trouble as yet.
